Call your airline in advance to make wheelchair arrangements. Airlines will provide free wheelchair assistance at Terminal curbside. The region’s light rail line has stops at both Terminals. The Terminal 1 platform is accessible from the east end of the ticketing hall. The Metrolink corridor begins near the overlook of the C Concourse checkpoint. The Terminal 2 Metrolink platform is located just south of the Terminal 2 parking garage. Users can access the platform from either level of the garage to the south. Elevators are available at both terminal platforms. The train platforms are equipped with bridge plates to assist people who use wheelchairs in crossing the gap between the train and the platform. Yellow safety stripes are at the edges of all platforms. The Airport has an Information and Paging Booth with staffing from 7 a.m. Information Booth staff handle all passenger paging (voice and visual for hearing impaired) and can answer your questions including airport services, airlines, parking and ground transportation. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn is pleased to announce that residential parking permits are now free for seniors ages 65 and over, and that vehicles that display a handicap placard do not need to purchase a residential permit. Free residential permits must be obtained in person at ParkMedford, located at 557B Main Street. Seniors must show a valid Massachusetts driver’s license as well as their vehicle registration reflecting the street for which you require a permit. Two free visitor passes will be provided upon request. Seniors who do not have a vehicle may still get two free visitor passes. Vehicles with a handicap placard on display may park on any street without a permit. However, if you have a placard but do not wish to display it at all times, you will need to obtain a permit for your vehicle. These permits must be obtained in person at ParkMedford and the individual must show the handicap placard, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and the vehicle registration reflecting the street for which you require a permit. Two free visitor passes will be provided upon request. If an individual is unable to visit ParkMedford due to mobility issues, a representative can visit ParkMedford in their stead and provide all necessary documentation to obtain a permit.

PSM International provides several parking structures designed for both long-term and short-term parking options. Lots A and B are the only on-site parking areas that allow overnight parking or extended stays. In fact, only long-term vehicles will be permitted to park in these lots. Upon entering one of the lots, take a parking ticket that you will insert into a Parking Pay Kiosk when you get back. You can pay for this public parking via major credit cards or debit cards. The Terminal Parking Lot is situated right across from the PSM Airport terminal building. This is a free parking facility designed for temporary stays - short-term handicap parking, pickup and drop-off, authorized vehicle parking, and rental car parking. So, this is the most convenient parking for people picking up passengers at Portsmouth Airport. Note that you are not allowed to park overnight in this lot, and it is completely free of charge since it is a short-term parking area. Parking spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Lot C is another self parking structure, and it is located a short walk away from the terminal. Lot C is also designed for short-term parking only, so overnight parking is not allowed. It is a great choice for employees or business visits. This is also a perfect parking option for those coming to greet an arriving passenger inside the terminal. Lot C is similar to free Cell Phone Lots, except you can temporarily leave your vehicle unattended here. Additionally, it is completely free of charge. Handicapped Parking/Accessible Parking is available in PSM Lot A (closest to the terminal walkway) and in the Terminal Lot. To use a designated parking space, a passenger has to own a disabled parking permit or license plate. Standard parking rates apply.
